These Terms of Service apply to your use of the Lumiscent website and to purchases made from us. By using the website or placing an order, you agree to these terms.

About us

Lumiscent is an online retailer based in England. You can contact us at hello@lumiscent.co.uk or by post at Lumiscent, Lytchett House, 13 Freeland Park, Wareham Road, Poole, Dorset, BH16 6FA.

Orders and contract

Submitting an order is an offer to buy. We will email you to confirm receipt; a contract is formed only when we dispatch the goods or otherwise expressly accept the order. We may refuse or cancel an order where stock is unavailable, a price or product-description error has occurred, payment cannot be authorised, or we reasonably suspect fraud.

Products, prices and availability

We aim to describe and photograph products accurately, but colours and appearance can vary between devices. Product availability and prices may change. Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable; delivery costs are shown at checkout before you place an order.

Payment

Payment must be authorised before dispatch. You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method submitted. Promotional codes are subject to any stated conditions and may be withdrawn where permitted by law.

Delivery

Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. Please see our Shipping Policy for delivery options, costs and international-delivery information. We are not responsible for delays outside our reasonable control, but your statutory rights are not affected.

Returns, refunds and your consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms limits rights you may have under consumer law. If you are a UK consumer buying online, you will usually have a 14-day right to cancel from delivery, subject to legal exceptions. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the website, introduce harmful code, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with its operation, or use its content for an unlawful purpose.

Intellectual property

Our website content, product photography, branding, designs and logos belong to Lumiscent or our licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute or use them commercially without our written permission.

Third-party services

Our store is powered by Shopify and may link to third-party websites. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices; we are not responsible for their content or operation.

Liability

We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or breach of your statutory consumer rights. Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable or for business losses where you are a consumer.

Changes and law

We may update these Terms by publishing a revised version on this page. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law in your country of residence gives you additional protection.
